Favorite zelda game?

Yeah, I think most of the episodes have been preserved. Lately I been heavily into link to the past and ocarina of time since they now have co op. I mentioned The Guardian Legend because it is a hidden gem and is a hybrid shmup/top down shooter. If I am not mistaken theres a fan remake of TGL. The game itself reminds me of zelda because of top down shooter. They weren't afraid of adding a good sizeable amount of difficulty but of course this applies to the shmup sections of TGL. The game itself also has warps so you don't have to play through the entire game.
Ooh, I have to look into those. I feel like multiplayer co-op on those two Zelda games would be amazing. Do they happen to work with randomizers?

Yeah they work with randomizers. LTTP co op is run by online servers so you would have to download the co op mod. Ocarina Of Time has co op multiplayer with randomizers I have yet to play OoT online but I would be interested in doing so. Got to find people to play with and I would be interested in doing a full playthrough on one life which is my usual fare for games I work on.

Yeah, I definitely have to check them out. If I ever get out of my study loop, the dream is to do a some online multiplayer stuff, including Super Mario 64, ALTTP, and OoT. Any excuse to replay ALTTP and OoT is a good reason.

I will play LTTP and OoT with you if you want. I was thinking of doing a speedrun of link to the past. I think the most players you can have in LTTP co op is 4.

How could anyone not like this? It's like a western soundtrack in the zelda franchise.

And the overworld theme was unique for the series.

Yeah, I like the earlier zelda games. They are great and even hold up today. The later games seem like cheap cash ins. Majora's Mask I didn't care for. For the people that don't know you can play link to the past and ocarina of time online with your friends co op by emulator. That just adds a ton of replay value for me. I always wanted to try out zeldas adventure for the philips cd-i just for fun because I heard it was the best of the 3 cdi zelda games.
Zelda's Adventure might arguably have the better gameplay but it's so ugly and it doesn't have the funny cutscenes (and the gameplay is still shit) so there's less redeeming about it IMO. The other two are worth it just for the cutscenes (but play the fan remasters though)

I like the first game, I think it's very easy to be locked into something when it was a new concept.

So, The Legend of Zelda is 1. Then comes Link to the past... After that I don't know, I didn't like Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask or Breath of the Wild... I don't know if I got used to the handholding the later games gave, but I just didn't like those games. I'm so old everything is better in 2D though (except racing games).
