Favorite notebooks/pens?

my note taking system has been utterly pathetic for years, dollar composition books that fall apart and 5 cent clicky pencils.
Any suggestions for nice stuff? I'm going to be taking notes next semester that I'll most likely be referring to for years to come D:

I was thinking of getting a cartridge pen but had no clue hat to look for in one
