The PS2 controller I'm using is the one manufactured by Sony that came with my factory sealed PS2 slimline. During play, however, I've noticed that the red Analog light sometimes turns off and the entire controller becomes unresponsive. Has anyone else had this problem? It seems as if jiggling the cord a bit solves it for a little while, but then it just goes out again.

The dual shock 2 that came with my original model PS2 purchased in 2001 has that same problem. I've found that turning off vibration in games usually prevents the problem from occurring.

YEP, almost 95% faulty on PS2 controller caused by a broken wire inside the cord itself.I had repaired more than 10 PS2 controller, all of them caused by the broken wire.Hope this help...
