Homebrew Fatal Frame 4 HBC patch issues...

Okay, so I was wanting to give Fatal Frame 4 a try. I got the patcher installed, and it seems to be working fine. Problem is that it actually doesn't patch. I followed the HBC instructions, and I assume its set up right if its launching the game, but everything is still Japanese.

I think my issue is that I'm using an image through the WODE, and not the retail disc, but I'm wondering it that's it or if my card really is set up wrong. Any help?

What i did was follow a guide to rip my retail copy to a iso, then use some program to put the patch in the iso i created. Supposedly there are copies floating around online pre patched, but since i already owned the game i patched my own iso.

A quick google check will direct you to what im talking about in detail, sorry i dont recall the steps as i did this awhile ago.
