Faint Hissing Sound OLED speakers

If I put my ear right next to the speaker, I can hear some white noise coming from it. Has anyone else experienced this? I didn't notice this before I installed the mod chip since I pretty much installed it right after purchasing with minimal testing. Thank you all.

You've maybe got a tiny lost snake trapped next to your speaker - watch out it doesn't get you!!! Muwhahahahahahhaaaaaaa.

I noticed I can't hear it in the hekate menu. I never noticed the noise before since there was always outside noise drowning it out.

did you ever figure out what is causing the faint hissing sound? I also could not hear this while on hekate but can be heard when on booted on CFW and even OFW.

I’m not really sure why you don’t hear it in Hekate, but I’m pretty sure it’s normal speaker noise, at least if it’s quiet. I’ve heard it on my 3DS, DS, and GBA as well.

Someone on discord helped me figure it out. It was indeed a noise coming from the speaker. It goes away when you plug a headphone jack. It is also not on hekate because on hekate speakers are powered down.

Good news is it can happen to any switch modded or not and this is not because of mod chip.

It's the same on every switch, at least all the ones I've checked.
