Hacking Failed install of CTR Manager. Booting Pasta CFW in HBL just reboots HBL.

I am running RxTools 3.0, Gateway EmuNAND 10.5x and SysNAND 9.2.0-20U. I have been using MenuHax with no problems. Then, I tried to install CTR Manager so I could coldboot into Pasta CFW.

Somehow I broke something. Now, even without CTR Manager installed anymore, every time I try to launch Pasta CFW from the Homebrew Launcher Loader, it just reboots back to the HBL.

I've deleted Pasta CFW and menuhax_manager from my 3DS folder, and replaced them, twice. I've uninstalled MenuHax and reinstalled it repeatedly.

No matter what I do, the only way I can access Pasta Mode now is to use BrowserHax to launch RxTools, and to boot into Pasta Mode from there.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have everything required to downgrade to 4.2.0x and to upgrade back to 9.x. I have all of the latest MenuHax, HBL and Pasta CFW files. Could I downgrade to 4.2x using my Gateway card, and then re-update to 9.2x with SysUpdater, so I could start over?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well you said it reboots into HBL.

What I'd do

1. Set a theme on sysnand to dump MenuHax.
2. Boot the browser and launch browserhax to get to the main HBL.
3. Install MenuHax (I forget the default but you can set it to trigger when holding L or w/e you wish)
4. Rename your boot.3dsx to something like bhbl.3dsx and replace with the boot.3dsx from CTR and edit your config file accordingly.
5. Make sure you're using miniPasta or a 2.5 version of Pasta
6. If you select pasta, you should see the splash screen or text fly by and it will reboot your console. (If you're like me and had it set to just straight boot, you'll need to hold a button down to skip the menuhax since it'll relaunch. When it reboots into SysNAND it will be in Pasta mode)

Anyways, that's how I set it up last night.

I deleted CTR entirely. MiniPasta never worked for me, but Pasta CFW did until I messed with CTR, the boot.cfg, and renamed the HBL boot.3dsx.

I've been working on this damned 3DSXL for over 27 hours now. I FINALLY had everything working perfectly this morning, then decided to mess around with coldboot options, and it broke.

So, I am downgrading back to 4.2x. Then I'll re-update and try yet again. Dammit.

I'm sorry for the question, but Pasta CFW uses sysnand, right?
You would have to press the button you configured to skip the menuhax boot, which takes you to HBL.

Really?! I can't be this stupid. I had the order set to boot Pasta CFW, then Gateway, then RxTools, then Homebrew Launcher. But, even when I booted the HBL by itself and just clicked on Pasta CFW, it still just rebooted the HBL.

I know I have to be missing some minor step somewhere in here.

I don't like change the name of the hbl boot.3dsx, so i renamed the ctr boot to ctrb.3dsx and i changed the boot name in the menuhax payload. (since i'm a sick persone, i also renamed the config file from boot.cfg to ctrb.cfg)

So, re-updated to 9.2.0-20U. Same issue, but I AM using the same SD card.

I just don't want to have to format it and spend another 15 hours reinstalling all of my CIA files.

I'm going to assume you have auto boot without trigger correct?

If so you need to hold the trigger while booting pasta to avoid the boot loop
