i rather not use it cuz game compatibility and may break stuff...
i had the "in game menu" patch in my flashcarts, some games had issues with it for example graphical glitches

btw, i seen they also patch soft reset.. whats the difference between that, and the normal softreset (start+select+a+b)
The wording on softreset is a bit confusing with this one. Most GBA games have a reset function where with start+select+a+b where it will restart the game, yes. But the key combo here will exit the game and bring you back to the menu, so I guess it's more an in-game-reset than a soft-reset.

it will be fixed in next release, the quick tutorial also fixed.
Hey there. I have a proposal.

I think you should allow us to disable gss patching by default (maybe add it as an option to the menu or even the KEYSET.CFG file). Alternatively, you might allow us to create a list of games (GSSDISABLE.CFG) that allows us to set a permanent list of games the GSS should not be applied to.

Yeah, it's supposed to be a soft-reset-to-menu. But I have yet to see it work. On the previous page I asked for a suggestion of a game where it is confirmed working. Anyone?

When playing Fire Pro Wrestling pressing SELECT freezes the game, I have switched back to 2.01 with no issues. I'm guessing it has something to do with the GSS?

Thanks for your help, Did I read that this will get fixed later on? I'm using your EZ-Flat skin BTW it's very nice. Thanks again [emoji144]
Some games are simply not compatible with the reset-to-menu patch. Future releases by the Ez-flash team will most likely not be able to increase compatibility. That's why they gave us button combos to disable the patch. The thing they mentioned they are going to fix is the fact that the patch *Data* gets appended to the ROM on NOR, even if the patching code has been disabled (by writing to the NOR using L+Select. This is not a huge bug, more of a cosmetic/practical issue.

Credits: @kuwanger Thanks for the softreset and sleep hack code.

To be fair, @Dwedit is the person chiefly responsible for the sleep hack code. I only modified it to include the softreset on top of that. Further, I'm very aware that there are games (Sigma Star Saga comes to mind) which have noticeably issues with how the soft reset/sleep hack code works (the audio is off in SSS). So, I do hope you actually improved on the code as my limited work never went further than trying to add soft reset to the games that never worked properly with the EZ4 Client patcher and accepting that some games wouldn't work with said my/Dwedit's patcher and so not all games being patched.

Having said the above, thanks for the work you're putting into the new EZ4 kernel. Maybe you will include more theming options in the future--like a .cfg for colors that can be used to rebuild with the EZ4 skinner tools?
