i use EZ4 client for gba roms, someone told me that i should

mmy question is, do i really need to or can i play the roms as is

and

if i need to use the client to patch it or whatever it does, do i need to check the box add save patch, what does that do anyway?

oh and one more thing, what should the save type and size should when patching ?

Save type is autodetected/patched.

You can run most of the (gba) games without patching but they will not save, DS games will likely not even boot and definitely not save. You can also use gbata ( http://www.gbadat.altervista.org/tools.htm ) to patch roms as well as a fair few other apps (TrolleyDave recently added it to his app http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=60168 ), just remember to make a save file.

The checkbox does not do anything as far as I know.
