Hacking EZ Flash 3 in 1 and Pogoshell

Just wondering if anybody has been able to get pogoshell running on the EZ Flash 3 in 1 as i will be away from a Slot-1 cart fro a while and want to have multiple games flashed to the NOR.

I've tried every version of Pogoshell I could find, and it doesn't work. AFAIK Pogoshell is no longer being developed, so its not likely to ever work.

Cory1492 said (a long time ago) that he was going to write a Pogoshell type loader for the 3-in-1, but I think he lost interest when it became possible to run games from PSRAM.


If you really want multiple games in NOR you'll have to settle for '3-in-1 Valu Pak: Spongebob, Disney Princess, and Petz: Goatz'.

What GBA game would you recommend?

Depends on what games you've already played.

There is a Castlevania double pack with Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow in one rom.

Drill Dozer is a great platformer with a pretty good challenge to it. Not terribly long, but not super short either.

The Summon Night games are great RPGs.

Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6 are all really good, and FF 1&2 is also out on the GBA.


Are you going to be playing on a DS? If so, will you have any way to boot slot 2 in DS mode? I just had a crazy idea that might let you have multiple games on the 3-in-1 after all, but only if you can run DS software from it.


Edit: If you're into the whole retro thing, you could put PocketNES or Goomba on there with a bunch of roms packed into the .gba file.

I just flashed my DS so i can now play NDS and GBA games from my Supercard MiniSD until i get my Cyclo

They'll take you the 2 weeks. (They slow down on the SD minisd, play them from the 3in1)

Aw, I was totally MacGyvering a solution for you with the 3-in-1.

By using the FCSR DLDI interface you can embed a FAT volume inside a .nds file. That would let you put the 3in1 Expansion Pack Tool on the 3-in-1 with some GBA roms packed into it, and from there you could run the games in PSRAM mode.

The problem would be the saves. FCSR is read only so saves wouldn't get backed up, and the save in SRAM would be overwritten with blank data each time you loaded a game. To get around this, you would leverage a flaw in the EZ4 Client.

The EZ4 Client forces GBA games to put their save data in the wrong part of the SRAM when you run them in PSRAM mode. This means that you could play one game at a time and be able to save properly, but only until you switch games, at which point the save would be overwritten by the new game. Not ideal, but it's better than not being able to save at all.


I have no idea if it would really work, but I thought it was a pretty clever idea.
