Hacking Extreme lag. might be SDHC?

Today I found my old DSTT. I went to Best Buy and got a 4Gb SDHC card for around 18 dollars.

I put TTMenu and ROMs on it. But when I start it, the menu takes around 30-60 seconds to load.
I then proceeded to reformat it with the Panasonic thing.
I backed up my roms, and put it back on after reformating.
The lag is still there. Even when i soft reset when playing a game, there's still major lag loading the menu.
Before I had a dif card, and it worked fine.

i think it should be your SDHC card
by the way, what is the brand of your sd card

so far my experience with kingston, transcend, sandisk and adata is pretty good

Switch to YSMenu instead. It's faster in loading the menu and booting games. Find out about it here

If your old card was reformatted to FAT, it would be faster.
So find out if your new card is formatted to FAT, or FAT32.
Last time I used FAT, it was faster than FAT32.

nevermind, found out the problem. one of the pictures in my skins folder was a PSD file so that screwed it up.
