So I got a picofly rp2040 from ali express the other day, installed it onto my switch ensuring i was being super careful lifting the shield and soldering, after I finished that I turned it on and was happily met with the "no sd card" screen with the picofly symbol, but when I put an SD card in... nothing, tried turning on and off and again nothing.

There was one instance where I did get into some kind of hekate, the one you see when there was a payload error, I cant remember what the error was but it was complaining about the SD, and checking it on my pc it was in exfat, reformatted loaded the files and put it back in. And still nothing.

I did the test where you hold the VOL + - to boot into OFW and i was hauntingly met with a blue screen. Even putting the NAND back in its normal slot I now get a blue screen.

Where did i go wrong? Surely its not a Ram or CPU issue as I saw the "no sd card" screen, could the mod chip have perhaps corrupted the NAND?

Also to note too, when I turn the switch on with the picofly in, theres a blue light that "hovers" (bright then slightly dim) for about 1-2 seconds, and then flashes green, and either shows "no sd card" or blue screen if im holding the volume buttons.

Any advice will be massively appreciated, otherwise Ill have to buy a v1 switch for a doner motherboard

Yep, but with rp2040 in i get no sd screen

It might be a case of corrupted NAND, it is common thing with RP2040

How to identify is….once modded the switch in No sd card screen immediately press volume + and - together once. It will force boot to Stock. If its working fine then chip is fine. If stuck on Nintendo logo Modchip corrupted OS on Nand.

looks like corrupted nand
What I’m going to try and do is re install the modchip, and get the lockpick payload in.

Is it at all possible to get the switch into RCM mode or does lockpick bin need to be on the root of the sd card to Boot

Did you made a NAND backup before the NAND got corrupted?

I didn’t no, I had no way to do it it’s a v2 switch. Unless you can interface the nand using the picofly board with the usb c?

Well the NAND is corrupted now, what you can do is use sthetix method of level 1 method to unbrick.

Just a quick one too, will the picofly boot with a corrupted NAND? I tried booting with an sd card in with a payload on the root of the SD card, but nothing happens

The only thing you won't be able to get into is Atmosphere/Horizon OS, you should be able to get into Hekate and lockpick_RCM

What currently happens is this with an SD card in. But the screen remains black.
