Well, I am quite the rookie with any kind of 3D models, and how the textures, lighting, shading works. So is there any way I can make the barrel 3d model with the barrel texture wrapped around it? (so that it looks like an actual barrel with colours)

No no, I want it to look like
2geIg3D.png

instead of

Barrel.png

So, uh....any progress on the model viewer?

That script is a pain to use, and I want my Kid Icarus: Uprising models gosh dangit! :)

Woohoo! Will animation support be included in the first revision?

(And when are you gonna release a test version? I'm excited to experience this!)

CGFX animations will not be supported in the first release. It is a bit more difficult to implement than I thought. Maybe nsbmd animations will (nsbca and such).

Do you plan to have the weight data and skeletons supported for .dae exporting? Or do you already have that done?

I am planning that ofcourse. Currently it can only export model, normals, texcoords and vertex colors to dae. The model is in T pose.

Also, from this friday on, I will upload weekly development builds. That means that they are not guaranted to fully work, but you can use it.

Thanks for the early release! :)
I'd appreciate if some member here could share the built executable, getting a ton of errors etc.

Install Visual Studio, open the project up.

The errors I had dealt with where "Tao" errors, so make sure to download it from

here:"http://sourceforge.net/projects/taoframework/".

Then copy the dll's from the debug to release folder.

Run in debug mode.

Oh and Gecricom, thanks for all the hard work, and will this tool support .bctex support anytime soon? It's image format.

With the last commit, you don't need to download the dlls anymore. It will auto copy them from the Libraries directory.

Yes. I need to make a dialog as from the nsbmd viewer, that can show everything that's in the file (not only models). When that is ready, bctex will work aswell.

Gericom I like what I see! I guess there'll be more types to export files as, other than plain bin's in the future. Can't wait to follow the progress and see what other game file types can be included!

What do you exactly mean?

Like, exporting textures or graphics as png's for easy editing. Or model data as... Whatever Blender uses for models, I forget the file types. Haven't used Blender for like a year now.

Also, I wasn't able to view the assets of a bcmdl. I could view the model as a whole in the render window, but not the individual assets (Like textures, etc) on the "Content" tab.

It can do that using File->Save As
I know. I need to make a viewer like the nsbmd viewer. (treeview on the left, editor/viewer on the right)
