Hacking Extract NDS save file with 3DS Action Replay?

So, well, hello there
I was recently playing Dragon Quest 9 again and I don't want to farm so much for a specific grotto
so I was wondering: Can you extract a save file from that game using 3DS Action Replay?
If you don't know what I'm talking about you basically put your cardridge in a little device and connect it to your computer and you can edit and extract the save file. Does this only work with 3DS games or can I also use it to edit my DQ save? Thanks in advance :3
BTW I am German so my English isn't the best

Yes I am talking about powersave but is there a way to trick the action replay ds software so it thinks that my game is in the ARDS Device?
