I was trying to use my Samsung T7 SSD for PS4 games on my PS5 but it's extremely slow on both mine and my friend's system. It gives me 1100MB/s writes and reads when connected to my Mac but 50KB/s-1MB/s when connected to my PS5 using the same supplied cable.
I've tried three T7 SSDs but none of them work well on my PS5. I've tried every super speed USB port on the PS5 too but the results stay the same.
Using USB-A instead of USB-C or vice versa doesn't fix the issue, neither do rebuilding the system database, clearing the cache, and other safe mode troubleshooting steps.
The most I was able to get was 20MB/s but that's still too slow for this drive and I can’t replicate it now
