can I cut a apple usb cord from a keyboard and extend the cable with another cable? Would it be a simple solder? or has apple encrypted the cable to know if I cut the cord it'll never work again?

Oi! an extension cable works. I thought Apple only allows Apple usb extension cable to work and generic cables wouldn't function. Reason why I was going punk and wanting to cut their stupid short cable plus save money. That's a really good price on that extension cable.

I mentioned shipping because almost all electronics are cheaper online.

There isn't any feasible way for them to "block" a USB extension from working. They're just simple cords with proper ends on them. Though I guess if it was easily possible, apple would do it in a heartbeat.

I will never understand using completely random, unrelated and nonsensical words in place of valid ones.
I'm going apple juice over here trying to think of why it happens so often.
