What are the exposed copper pads on either side of the charger port for? They're also present on the Wii U GamePad.

This is the o3ds model, it came with the 3ds...

I just realized how they come with less and less extras, first it came with everything, then they dropped the cradle, then they dropped the charger

Well technically the O3DS was supposed to cost more than a New XL...
In Europe, they stopped giving away chargers with the old XL lol
They added them back with the 2DS (only) but the wire is thinner and feels a lot softer
With the N3DS they deliberately wanted a small box (and indeed you can't fit a charger in there) but I can fit 2 usb cables, huh...
