Hacking EX4i, A flashcard with a CPU.?

So, looking through interwebs, i found something caleld EX4i. GBAtemp search.... hey a topic with EX4i as a subject ... blah blah .

Anyways, my conclusion is as follows: R4 merged with tha power of a SCDS2, it became possible long ago. So do people actually have experience with this card, since I never hear about it anymore, no updates whatsoever since its a clone, but what i guess is that people just don't care

But the gba emulation is one thing. Movies another. So there are clone companies with a desire to actually make a piece of thing that May be worthwile. still i dont want it (Duh, my dstwo is on the way), but i thought: lets ask people for their experience.

Well iFish got one for a review, he then traded it to Scott105, who then sold it to me. In a time span of.... 1-2 weeks? I really didn't like it, so I sold it the day after I got it.

The ex4 have a lower compatibility than DSTWO, EX4 team is slower to issue updates, there is no plugin as of now except for GBA and movie, and that card seem to have a strange incompatibility issue with DSLITE/DS Phat on some of the first batches...

If those lazy bums from the (Put a random clone in here, goes for every of them, except r4i) team actually did something, then people wouldn't be so negative about clones. UGH

'tis a shame though, that this thing didn't take a liftoff. It could have been a good card if the team would have put some effort in it.

is it just me, or does this resemble the dsi menu with DStwo touch

I had one of those. It was actually nice. It had the R4 gui, played all the new games. and played gba games right from the menu.
Then they upgraded to that new gui
which is Fugly.
its overall a nice card, And it does fight with the ds2 and ismart.
but DS2 is still the winner

It seems like I'll never know why xD. I've always liked the M3Sakura/Moonshell2 interface, though I'm thinking the CycloDS series isn't too shabby either, despite the lack of a large number of replaceable images (though the completely useless top screen kind of pisses me off).

Thank you very much for you comments on the EX4, you saved me some money as I was going to buy one but not now
