Hacking ex Fat and -3 error

I've completed the Haxchi mod and all's well so I decided to get a larger SD card so to help speed up transfers. I noticed it was exFAT (vs my current FAT SD card) - it was my understanding that exFAT played well with macs but other than that was similar to regular FAT. Moved my original SD contents onto new SD and started it up. When I load Haxchi I get an error (-3).

My question is there something I have to do to prime the SD card? (there was not an option to format to FAT (as I reckon my pc thinks it already is that).

Is there a walkthrough or any advice to troubleshoot the upgrade of SD card or fix this error- thank you in advance and apologies if this is an old issue.

afaik, the wii u only accepts fat32.

Use a third party tool to format to Fat32 instead of built-in Windows formatting tool. I think any would be ok but the noob guide recommends this one http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm so I would imagine it works pretty well.

Great- I'll have a look at this.

Should be cool to just format drive, copy original SD contents onto it and good to go. Or am I missing something?
