Which is the most sensible choice. The user base needs to realise there is a legitimate and sensible reason it's not being treated as fact.

I'm concerned about what you posted earlier about the company having a history of fraudulent activity, although I'll have to facts check this first. A very basic Google search seems to confirm what you're saying, but it's pretty late and I can't really make a more elaborate one at this time. It would be a pretty damn elaborate scam if it is one, but any fraudulent activity is a reason for worry, especially when our users can become targets of it. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, I posted again in the other thread mentioning their activities that have been recorded before. The usual dodgy stuff. Fake products passed off as real, scams to steal and sell online gaming accounts. Typical stuff.

I just think gaming sites tend to claim a certain professionalism that they don't have. I don't mean to disrespect, you do great work here, but I have higher standards that professional newspapers rarely follow either.

It's E-shop "roms". In the Evo3DS multirom video they show an eshop title being selected.

Check the E-shop ROM video on the first page of this thread, shows them being played from the microSD.

yeah, people said like, if they let us load the ehsop games that need signature patching turned off, that that would be a problem for them, but surely they can just 'whitelist' each rom that needs it, so the signature is only 'NOT' checked for the things they allow right...
although that is very 'drm'-y, but i expect they will do that.

I'm still wondering why does it even have to be patched in the first place. That ROM's sig should be valid since it's official software.

No, it's not. eShop games don't run from love and air on flashcards. eShop games don't have a NCSD header. So they must add one but they can't sign it --> invalid signature.
