Yeah, can't let a company have some bad pr right? I mean, are you getting money from them? People are fucking domesticated by companies.. I wouldn't give a slightest shit if this company got some bad pr and wans't Gateway. They were probably completely aware of the GW situation and chose a really horrendous moment to announce their flashcard. They did bring it on themselves.

But let's face it. Gateways 2.0 features, right after Gateway went AWOL, the mail, and the biggest evidence of all, their website template. Be sure of this. In a while the lines will be gone from their site and that will only reinforce my opinion.

Unless... (And hear me out here):

Gateway and EVO3DS are the same company, GW hit us with 2.0 on 01/04/2014 and EVO3DS launches the week after = Market dominance?

There's a difference between bad PR and libel, and unless you have evidence to prove your case, it's libel. Gateway already has a bad rep for including bricking code in their firmware, but that doesn't mean that whenever a negative rumour pops up we're going to treat it as true by proxy. A big part of journalism is not taking sides, and as such, we're not taking sides here. If the Gateway does turn out to be withdrawn from the market and if reliable insider sources confirm that Evo3DS is made by the same team, our users will be the first ones to know. Until then, rumours are going to be treated as rumours - no self-respecting website will ever publish wild fantasies as fact.

Good luck getting a response via email, I've contacted both GW and EVO today for comment and I'm not holding out hope. It's 7am in China.. the company(s?) have a busy day ahead.
