I'm not sure what's wrong on your end but I was able to download mine yesterday.
I'm using jpn account if that makes a difference.

I deleted all of my unused tickets using tiksweep, but I'm still getting the message

Ok, I think i may have had this once be four, some think or one of the nand files could have been deleted by mistake maybe using FBI.

I hope you had a older backup of your nand to replace.

Anyone find a solution to this yet? I've done everything I could that could possibly fix it, but, still no luck, and this kinda worries me, as I'm planning to legitimately purchase Luigi's Mansion and M&L Bowser's inside story in the future.

  1. Make sure your n3DSXL is updated on the latest 11.8.0-41U firmware before you begin.
  2. Download the 11.7.0-40U firmware package found at that darth site. If you have a n3DSXL, yours is under 3DS USA n3DS Firmwares.
  3. Unzip the archive and place the updates folder on the root of your SD card. Make sure you don't have a previous updates folder.
  4. Install sysUpdater. If you're using the *.cia version, you should turn off the WiFi on your 3DS beforehand.
  5. In FBI, go to Titles > Nintendo eShop > Delete Title And Ticket. This will uninstall Nintendo eShop complete.
  6. Launch sysUpdater and press (Y) downgrade. Your 3DS will revert back to 11.7.0-40U along with reinstalling Nintendo eShop [0004001000021900.cia]. Do not use FBI to install system title *.cia files found in the updates folder.
  7. If you used the *.cia version of sysUpdater, you can optionally clear your cache and traces of your homebrew use with Cthulhu (preferably with the *.3dsx version).
  8. Go to System Settings and update your 3DS back to 11.8.0-41U. Check if eShop works again.

For some odd reason, it's not reading the "updates" folder...also this won't brick my system, right?

If you followed the steps exactly as outlined, you won't brick. No shortcuts or deviations when doing the procedure.

As for why your sysUpdater isn't downgrading, there's two possibility:

1. Your n3DSXL is using a9lh (arm9loaderhax).
You'll need to upgrade to latest boot9strap v1.3, Luma3DS v9.1, and GodMode v1.7.1 custom firmware.
If that's the case, this alone might fix your underlying issue.

2. You didn't download the correct firmware package due to mistaken another website for that darth site.
If your n3DSXL is USA region, the one you want to use has a MD5 hash of 5a4b4a1c9358654b43625ca33b4cb4f8 and a compressed archived size of 139 MB.

I have boot9strap and downloaded the correct file, but it's still not reading. I don't think it's my SD card because I ran it through a corruption test and it was fine. It could be godmode though, I don't think I updated that in a while

Last edited by ToonGoomba,
I done messed up now. Tried to install a custom cia theme through bigbluemenu, it failed, went to my themes, most of them were gone, tried redownloading them through the theme shop, aaand now I'm getting the same eShop message, and reboots.

You know what, I think I know why I can't download anything from Nintendo...my 3ds has been completely removed from their servers.
If your not banned. Why would you ever think this would be something feasible? This would cause a huge amount of shit with the end user and ninty if that was ever held to be true.

True, and I only have the cfw ban, I had it ever since the first banwave, but everything was working fine then. It could be something I've done with luma...

Ok I fixed all of my problems. My 3ds bricked, I restored sysnand, eShop and theme shop are working again. Still, idk how and why such things can happen...
