Homebrew error ret = -1 when installing channels

I can install vc and ww games but i can't install something like the wiiflow channel and i get the error in the topic. I'm using ios 249 im on 4.2. Why do you think this is happening?

if the wad file had spaces or a lot of letters, try renaming it... that fixed the problem when I couldn't install anything.
