Hacking Error Launching Game

If there is a thread on this, please link it to me as I was unable to find it.

I've installed the HBC channel and bootmii using Letterbomb. When attempting to launch a game (iso file burnt onto a DVD-R using Imgburn) with NeoGamma R9 I get the following error message:

"Error: Not a Wii/GC disc"

I've probably missed an step or haven't installed something vital, but if somebody could point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks.

If your Wii is new, it will not read copied discs of any kind.
USB loading is your choice. Use ModMii to hack it, and add a USB loader also.
Since you do not state much, can only give you vital info at best.

Well I purchased it used. The guy I got it from already had it modded and supplied me with a bunch of burnt games. Those games will play fine. I assumed that he simply erased the HBC and everything once he sold it to me so I re-added it. For some reason, the games that I burn are unable to be read by my system. I have tried burning them at 2x and 4x speeds and still haven't had any luck. I know playing burnt discs is possible, I just haven't had any luck yet.

Could it be that the DVD Burner on my laptop is inadequate?
