Gaming Error 80000004

I'm sure you all heard the story before...Sorry If I missed a fix somewhere here

Any way so I run 5.03 and PSP 2000 So I'll just tell you kind souls what I did

Uploaded ChickHen R2 to PSP
Ran ChickHen
Uploaded CFW loader 3.01 it has henctrl.prx from the 1.0 version
Ran M33

Went to laptop (Vista)
Inserted Mega Man legends 1 disk
Ran Auto Pop station.
Settings are...


Interface W2k/XP - IOCTL scsi commands
Drive [0:0:0]
Read mode BE_2 (ATAPI SPEC 2)
Try to limit Speed Unchecked
Don't wait until drive is ready Unchecked
Speed is 2X
Try reading a gain on error Unchecked
Show Message box on reading error Unchecked
Use PPFpatch file unchecked
Sub channel reading
No File Under sub channel

Ran Auto popstation

Converted to an Eboot folder
Put it in the psp folder
Uploaded 5.00 version EBOOT
Uploaded New_PSAR Dumper
Used PSAR dumper and got Pops and popsman PRX
Flashed 5.00 Pops and popsman Prxs

Attempted to run game and got 80000004

you can't play megaman legends on psp it requires 2 joysticks...........or it did last time I played it on my ps2

It doesn't need 2 Joy sticks I have all 3 of them and I never use the joy sticks

I'm more of a pad person

Not really but The misadventures of tron bonne counts though its a spinoff. There's also that MML on the cell phone So there is actually 4

Added the downloaded stuff so now it's
F/ms0/seplugins/popsloader
F/ms0/seplugins/popsloader.prx
F/ms0/seplugins/pops.txt

Opened CFW 3.60
Went to settings
Went to plugins
No plugins detected.

Exactly what I did...

Exactly what I did...

Change this to:
ms0:/seplugins/popsloader
ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx
ms0:/seplugins/pops.txt

Or if that doesn't work, try the slashes in the opposite direction. ms0 refers to your memory stick drive letter, not a folder called ms0. But in the text file on the PSP, you need it the way I put it.

I see that nobody has answered what the actual error code 80000004 is. Apparently, after looking it up, it is categorized under firmware problems.

"80000004 - its just a general error code that the PSP spits out when it doesn't understand something... could mean anything really."

Doesn't really help but I figured I'd just mention it in case anyone else tries to look for it.

Some people report a flash1 format solves this issue. Since you can't necessarily do that so easily, i'd suggest you use the Restore to default settings option in the Settings Menu.
