Gaming EO3: What guild setup do you have? =]

I made the "mistake" of grinding my entire team to sixteen before even hitting floor three via the lighthouse boss. I'm now stomping the FOE mobs in floors two and three so hard its a joke. My Zodiac really came into his own around fifteen, once I had a good size TP pool to draw from.
how do you get to the lighthouse with only 8 turns?

North and to the left from the island where you collected Peas you'll see an island that you can just reach. On it is a man who requests a piece of lumber to mend his fences.

Now, from the starting position after setting sail, turn to your left and head south along the coast of the main island. I believe if you search on one of the sides of the large mountain you'll be prompted to cut down some lumber.

Return to dock, collect your money, then sail back to the island. The farmer will reward you with Cheese, which gives you 16 turns at sea. From there I suggest heading east, as you'll eventually come to a place where you can get Raisins, which give the same 16 turns but at half the cost of the cheese.

Also, having your team around level nine or so will be more than enough for the boss.

Ok, party update time! =D Guild: Legends

My first team is: Gladiator/Monk
Royal/Zodiac/Arbalist

Second team: Hoplite/monk
Ninja/Royal/Arbalist

Special Team: Monk/Farmer
Royal/Farmer/Farmer

The Special team will eventually have four farmers and a Royal. Most of my guild members are around level 15 and im on B4 now =]
Please continue to post your teams and progress as well as advice for other players =] Happy adventures my friends!

Team:

Hoplite(21), Prince(22), Buccaneer(20)
Zodiac(21), Ninja(22)

I'm just now setting foot in the second Stratum. I was sidetracked with exploring the North Sea.

I also have three farmers, each at eleven, for farming purposes.

Interesting setup =] Has the ninja been paying off for you? I dont seem to like him that much. But i really haven't put that much effort into him either lol (Only level 9 atm). I like the Hoplite because their basically a walking shield haha And if u put a Royal in ur team then you almost never have to heal them.

My main team is

Front: Arbalist - Hoplite - Gladiator
Back: Princess - Monk

Main strategy - Hoplite has some crazy defense so i make enemies attack her while my gladiator n arbalist do the main damage princess and monk keep everyone full health n buffed up while the monk is my 4th dps

3 Farmers chilling in the guid when i need to go mining n stuff and working on seeing if i should add one of the other classes have one of each all a bit lower lvl then my main but high enough i can bring them in with no problem

Excellent thus far, though I wish I could find him a more powerful dagger (compared to the lance my Hoplite is using).
Three points in Kagerou to unlock Bunshin so I can fill the sixth slot.
Then poured points into Knife Mastery, Keburi no Sue, and Takanoha.

I'm finding more and more that my Hoplite is on the offensive, and I only use Line Guard when the enemy charges for a heavy attack. So I'm pondering putting some points into Spear Mastery to increase her damage.

Yeah the thing that i didnt like about the Hoplite class is that they lack offesive skills. Which is ok because of their amazing defense. But in their favor, after a while, they do end up with some good straight attack power. Im just more of a "Kill them quickly with less damage on my party" kinda guy lol so other classes just suite me better

It's most likely any issue I'll address when I gain the ability to subclass. Most likely though I'll add Ninja to my Hoplite so I can clone a second tank for the back row.

That's a really good idea =D You think ahead lol that's good. I'll probably do that with my royal so i'll have double the passive healing skills and buffs plus ninja skills and offensive attacks =D (Or are passive skills even transferable? lol)

They are indeed.

Main party: Hoplite (26), Farmer (24), Zodiac (17), Princess (14), Gladiator (26)

Also a Monk (25), Wildling (22), Farmer (9), Farmer (8), Farmer (9). Farmers are for $$$ purposes. I was using the Monk for healing, but the Princess is making a nice work with the auto-healing. I'm not too glad with the Gladiator. I expected a more powerful attack. The Wildling is nice because, for example, the bird he summons from time to time blocks magic attacks from enemies. Didn't try other summonings yet.

I'm the 'love-the-grinding' type of RPG player.

I found out using a ninja then you sub it into a zodiac makes it a great combination.
Why, because the ninja skills to reduce tp consumed + bunshin and the dark ether and all other skills of the zodiac would be costing 1 mostly so i find it sweet especially that he plays first.

At the moment, I'm running

Hoplite - Gladiator/Buccaneer
Monk/Prince - Zodiac - Arbalist.

Any suggestions for subclasses for the Zodiac and Arbalist? I'm waiting for Shogun for my Hoplite, and I think I might reclass the G/B for G/W instead. I'm at the Deep One/Deep Lady at the moment, and I'm getting slaughtered.

Whats the Shoguns specialty?

I think Offense. I'm not entirely sure - I keep reading on GameFAQs that it's the best sub class for hoplite. I haven't unlocked it yet. I am willing to wait a while, though.

At the moment, I'm grinding to reach level 30, and then I'm going to try the Deep Ones again.

Like Heram said above, the best thing to do with your Zodiac would be to retire him and make a Ninja/Zodiac enhanced character. Zodiac as a main class is pretty weak, but they can be subclassed with Arbalist for some decent backrow damage. As for the Arbalist I've never ran one so I can give any advice there.

Currently, (after quite a bit of grinding) I'm in the 4th stratum, with the following party, all at level 42:

Hoplite/Ninja: Bunshin allows me to Line Guard both rows, and with five points each in parry and magic parry I negate some attacks.

Shogun/Buccaneer: Swashbuckling and Dual Wield come together nicely, with Lady Luck thrown in you can see up to five hits in one normal attack, any of which can be critical.

Gladiator/Shogun: Warrior's Might allows my Gladiator to follow every single attack from the Shogun with a second solid hit. And he'll follow anyone else for that matter.

Ninja/Zodiac: Absurdly low TP costs for spells, just be sure to stack some TEC and TP gear.

Monk/Princess: Healbot.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But I really do like my Zodiac, so I'm going to try her out for a little while longer. If not, I'll retire her and make a Ninja/Zodiac. I really don't want to do that though, so I'll see what I can manage for her subclass. Thanks for the advice though.

When having a subclass do u get more skill points per level and have the 2 sets of skills to choose from or just able to choose from 2 sets of skills?
