Hacking English G6 Lite Released?

Wholly fast shipping guys! My G6 Lite just arrived about 3:00 P.M. PST in Canada!! My god, two days from China to here! Watch your mail boxes guys! Thank-you Hopebuy - you rock!

I have nothing to compare them too, but the cases look and feel good to me. They have the bottom holes etc and are deffinately the final build.

I tried to order from hopebuy but their credit card processer kept giving me "order failed" errors, it was all in broken enligh and chinese, and no way for me to figure it out. I went with realhotstuff instead, with the coupon it's cheaper than hopebuy, but I have to wait to get it

Looks pretty english to me heheh. I will check the loader version later, but everything is in english (including all printing on the box). I just finished loading the card full (slow loading) and it all looks good. Menu's all english etc. Just playing Magnetica and tried New Super Mario Bros (only two i've tried) both work slick as can be.

The software I installed was from the mini-CD that came with it and labelled "G6 U-DISK Manager V4.1a.exe".

OK I just upgraded to version Update V4.1D of U-Disk and installed the loader English V4.1A (latest). All is fine - it's english

I'll check when I can get the DSL from my wife's grubby hands... I already stole it from her to do the loader update and she snapped at me... She's now just been sucked into Sudoku Gridmaster... Gotta wait till she at least finishes this puzzle...

Edit: Ok got it back... When you click the PDA the G6 Lite kinda reboots and the title screen (top screen with "Touchpod for G6flash") changes to add in at the bottom right corner, "V 1.0Beta" and all PDA functions are in Chinese not English. The "Media" section is all english, as is everything else it looks like. Hope that helps.

Heh. Everyone waiting for the english version to get english PDA and it's still in chinese. Oh well I propably wouldn't use it anyway, and it can propably be upgraded to english in the future.

Hmm, looks like i'll be going hopebuy then, since this seems to be the english version, the PDA is something of a low priority for me anyhow, i can wait for an update.

holy crap, i ordered a g6 on a whim, didnt even care if it was the chinese version, i just wanted one. but i ordered it on the same day they started shipping the english ones, and theyre shipping me an english one! damn thats lucky coincidental

Oh, I thought I would mention that Hopebuy marked the package as "Sample Of Memory Card-Of No Comercial Value" and on declared value they put $30.00 USD (3 quantity x $10.00 USD).

Anyhow, no duties or fees when it arrived (yay) and DHL brought it straight to my door (Vancouver, B.C., Canada).

I'm placing an order with hopebuy. I've tried with winsunx about 3 weeks ago and they blew me off saying that they can't get the chinese version at all - morons! I was going to go with psxbox but their so expensive and everyone seems to be having a good experience thus far with hopebuy so here i go...

Do you know what the diffrenece between ADS, and DHL shipping are? I went with ADS because it was the default, and it cost the same.

Just to clarify for newbies to flash carts such as myself, how many games do YOU have on there that makes it full? (I know it's all relative and depends on different rom sizes, but just so I have some sort of estimate. I am going back and forth on deciding between the SC Lite and g6 lite)...
