Hello GBATemp!

Im currently trying to get a Emunand working. I have used CFW since i got my switch a long time ago and made a Nand backup before doing any CFW.

Im on 7.0.0 firmware on my CFW and my Clean NAND backup is on 4.0.1, i want to have my current CFW (7.0.0) as my Emunand and then restore my Clean 4.0.1 and update OFW to latest firmware, and i think i will blow my fuses since im afraid that Nintendo can detect it in the future. I have 5 burnt fuses btw.

Now i have a question about AutoRCM. If i want to use my current CFW as Emunand should i first disable AutoRCM and then create a Emunand? If yes then would make sure to use my JIG after removing or i could risk go into OFW and burn my fuses and then my plan on restoring my clean nand would be gone right, or am i misunderstanding something?

Things i have done as precaution:

- Full NAND backup of my current 7.0.0
- Backup of all my saves

Here are my planned Steps, please say if im doing something wrong.

1 - Disable AutoRCM? (Not sure about that one)
2 - Create a Emunand on my 128 gb SD card and backup that on pc
3 - Use my spare 32 gb SD card, format it as Fat32 and restore my Clean 4.0.1 nand - This will as far as i know, remove AutoRCM
4 - Boot into Horizon and see if everything is good
5 - Swap SD card, Use JIG and Dongle and boot into Emunand to see if it's working like it should
6 - Shutdown and Swap SD card again and boot into Horizon and update with official update and by then burn my fuses

Am i missing something in my planned steps?

Those are my plans as well, so I think you have the correct procedure nailed.

Good, then im on the right path.

Im still worried about the whole AutoRCM thing though. Can't seem to find anything on the matter. If it doesn't matter then id rather have it enabled before doing any clean nand restoring. Don't want to risk it, but also don't want to risk that the AutoRCM does something to Emunand.. Hope someone can help with this

I'll disable it until proven safe.

I will not use AutoRCM after i restore my clean nand anyway. My concern is that my current CFW does have AutoRCM enabled, and if i go into sxos and create a emunand, Could the AutoRCM do something to the emunand i create. Since AutoRCM gets removed after i restore my clean nand, will the AutoRCM i have on my emunand interfere with my non AutoRCM SYS nand (after clean nand restore ofc)

I don't think it will, but even if it does, shouldn't disabling auto rcm on your emunand after restoring your clean nand fixing that ?
