I set up emunand on a 1tb sd card a few months back on 17.0 than never touched it again, since I use semi stock mode on HATS pack (now on 18.0)

Now when I try and open emunand from Hekate my switch stalls on a black screen and no logo ever shows. Forcing me to turn off the switch by holding the power button

What is the cause of this? Is there a fix ?

When you buy prepared food like frozen pizza in the store, you have no control over the ingredients. You just have to eat it the way it was made, with all the good and also the bad stuff. If you buy your own ingredients, and cook your own meal, you know exactly what's going on and can eat only what you want and is good for your health. You gave your Switch a frozen pizza. It's very hard to know which ingredient in it didn't go well with your Switch health. I would suggest you stop using pre-made packs like these and install your CFW manually from now on.

Respectfully that’s not helpful whatsoever. Especially when HATS is generally the one most modchip users use.

Cool tho, I fed it a frozen pizza. That doesn’t really tell me much on how to fix the issue

Hmm, my solution was in the last sentence. Install your CFW manually. @impeeza wrote a nice tutorial here just for that.

I ignored all this and set it up again as a new emummc file system. I think it worked since I can now boot and was able to give it a white stock theme that is separate from my sysnand (boots dark mode)

I still don’t understand why it can’t see the emummc partition that hekate still shows but it’s whatever I’m not going to worry about 10ish gb if it means I have to backup and format this 1TB again lol
