would it be possible to make a "wad" forwarder.... as lame as that may sound at first, I'm thinking in terms of clicking on a 1MB wad and having it forward you to a wad on the SD. Im tired of having to delete and add wads everytime I wanna try something new because of the wii's limitied storage. if every wad was 1-2 MB and forwarded to the SD that would be heaven and yall know it.

No, it's not possible to execute wads from sd. But you can use the Media Forwarder wad to launch four (soon five) media player apps. The wad is only 1.5 MB in size. The same goes for the Emulator Forwarder (8 emus) and the Tools Forwarder (four apps), once I'm done with them

For more info see first post.

Update: Added Gecko OS Forwarder (dol and wad in a package)

You should make one for the backup loaders. Up, for SoftChip, Down for Gamma etc...etc...

SirReal

What are the different backup loaders and their paths? I might consider doing it when I have more time.

Btw, are any of you using the Forwarders with SDHC-cards?

i think that the backup loaders should be added to the "tools" forwarder. the path for gamma is x:\apps\Backup_Launcher\boot.dol and i would think that softchip would be x:\apps\softchip\boot.dol

I don't think that would be a good fit. Better to make a new one. Are those two the only ones available?

Update:
Added WADManager Forwarder.

i would really appreciate it if you provide some mirrors. i can never open mediafire. specifically the media, emu, and tools forwarders. thanks!

Great work on the forwarder, I love being able to launch apps directly from the channel screen.

Can anyone make one for UAE4Wii please?

What is UAE4Wii and what is its path to the boot.dol/elf?

As djdynamite123 says it's an emulator of the Commodore Amiga. It's in early stages, but working well already.

The path is X:\apps\UAE4Wii\boot.dol

There's a suitable image at http://wiibrew.org/wiki/UAE4Wii

The emu needs a rom image of the amiga to work (kick.rom, v1.3 512kb), which can't be distributed with the emu for copyright reasons. If you want me to send it to you let me know. I can also send you a couple of working disk images so you can test it.

I see you've got a few projects on so understand this might be low priority!

Thanks.

wilsoff, can you create a banner set for UAE4Wii?
Here goes... not as stylish as other examples I'm afraid.

Banner:

Channel:

Icon:

This was just a quick effort, I've based the sizes on images on page 18 of this thread. I haven't done this before so I don't know if they need to be a specific format of PNG. I hope there's some way you can check the integrity of these, I'd hate to be responsible for any WiiBricks.

Images taken and edited from:

Updated meta.xml with more instructions:

UAE4Wii

Gouky / MagicTeam
Amiga forever emulator
UAE4Wii is a port of the famous amiga emulator UAE based on UAE4all from Chui.

You must add kick.rom to \UAE4Wii\ . This must be the v1.3 512kb version and must be called kick.rom.

Press "Home" to bring up the Emulator GUI.

Think you can provide the config file for the generic one you first posted? the link only inludes the dol, not the conf file

EDIT:
Just jumped through some of the others you have there and it's a bit of a mess

sorry to say but it's true.
Your readme's are mixed... EG the tools package readme reffers to "emulators" instead of "tools".
And the inlcuded conf file for the tools package only has "homebrew browser" entry. If I'm understanding your config files structure correctly, shouldn't it have a path entry for all 4 apps?

Just was noticing these, correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, care to share how you were able to create this forwarder? I'm now interested in building my own custom one supporting 4-8 apps.
