The Right trigger on my Gameboy Micro stopped working. What's the safest way to repair it. If it's just dirty, could I take the battery out and just use contact cleaner spray or use methanol?

Does it still click properly? If so then I would do as you suggested, remove the battery, give it a good squirt with contact cleaner and click the trigger loads of times. If not then it could be a faulty switch which might be replaceable.
