ROM Hack Easiest method of using rom hacks?

Title. I want to test out some hacks, but have no idea how to go at them...

I know about HANS... but i would have to dump the rom, decrypt the rom, replace a bunch of files, rename files accordingly.. too tedious, i've had enough tedium for a while by installing a9lh

So, do i have to get a gateway or is there a method of getting rom hacks as aCIA?

you can get built pre-hacked games as .cia which is convenient, but means you have to dedicate a whole game to the romhack and often can't play the original alongside it. If you have NTR you can use layeredfs that only needs the patched files on the sd card and loads when the game starts.

but to MAKE a layeredFS plugin you have to dump the exefs :(
