Nah, it isn't broken. It's just useless(only for upgrading weapons).

So it's essentially broken? Broken things are often useless.

It isn't broken, if it were broken he would have put it in with some code to make it work and instead of working it just glitches out. But he didn't he put it in without any use but with the intention of using it later.

Also, IIRC Jeb didn't implement the levelling, Notch did just before he left.

I use the leveling system just fine. I rely on it to give my tools and armor special abilities that I use all the time.
What's that? "It doesn't increase base stats, therefore it's broken"? It wasn't meant to increase base stats.

Not every game has to follow the same damn formula.
Aren't people always complaining about games doing the same stuff and not being original? :P
  • In some games you assign stat points yourself instead of having them automatic. Doesn't mean stats are broken.
  • In some games you save up EXP to buy perks instead of leveling up. Doesn't mean EXP is broken.
  • In some games there's no healing items and you need to rely on other sources. Doesn't mean the healing is broken.
And so on and so forth.

Read up on the EXP system and enchanting, there's some great stuff you can do with it.
It just needs to be less random. Like, WAY less random. It's stupid-random right now.

At which point Steam Workshop will have transformed into a sentient factory powered by tiny nanomachine elves that bear a striking resemblance to Gabe Newell.

And the manager will resemble GLaDOS.

Didn't Maxis make the sims?
Yes.

And not those awful MySims games. A good developer would have nothing to do with that crap.

they (or should i say ww) made the sims 1 they had NOTHING to do with sims 2 or sims 3 b4 EA took over (raped) it
Yeah, the original Sims was the best, I remember when it came out on gamecube

At least Terraria made block building fun.
Legos?
Terraria doesn't hurt like a bitch when you step on it.
I have never had this problem in my life.
Then you never played with Legos. :P

Honestly, I think Jeb is doing a great job. I don't see any major problems with Minecraft besides the lack of a proper mod API.

Also, Notch doesn't work on Minecraft.
I have carpet. Maybe that affects it.
