Gaming EA Sports Online different for UK & NTSC?

I have the PAL version of FIFA 08 and Madden 08. Last night there were 130 players online on FIFA but just one person on Madden.

If I have the NTSC versions of those games will I be able to play on the USA servers? Anyone tried this?

I've just tested this and they do use different servers. There are no players online on the PAL version but when I log on using the NTSC game there are currently 9 players online. It's early morning in the States so I'm assuming there will be more later on.

I also had to make a new EA Nation account as it wouldn't accept my account created with the PAL disk.

It also seemed to connect quicker with NTSC disk.

edit: I also entered United States as country when signing up with both versions so it totally ignores that and dumps you onto the PAL servers with the PAL disk.
