Dying Light: Platinum Edition | v1.0.3 | v1.0.4
  • Increased draw distance for textures and objects to 1.5 default was 0.6, seems to apply to shadow cast distance too
  • Shadow Map size increased from 512 to 1024 as it doesn't hit performance significantly.
Use max GPU/CPU OC
Not tested in other versions

If you want to tweaks it differently or add other stuff open Data3.pak with 7z, use "Extract to Data3/", the resulting folder should be "Data3/data/settings/defaultvideo_nx.scr" edit defaultvideo_nx.scr with a notepad, repack compressing back to zip with 7z, rename .zip to .pak, restart and try.

If you want research for other graphic mods you need dump Data0.pak, it does contains all the other settings, simply copy your edits (keeping the same folder extructure) over Data3.pak.

Edit: resolution in settings is at 576p, is not possible increase resolution, it’s probably hardcoded in main because Techland TAAU technic.

yeah, at least we can incresase draw distance, it was my main issue with this game :p
I compare the PC and Switch version. The Switch version has a glitch and edge uncomfortable feel because Taau is why?

The engine seems rebuilt around TAAU, there are several notes left by Virtous about it. And yes the blurry edges that appears sometimes are because TAAU.

I see some code line about reslution is 1024*576. why you say 553p?
 
So if I success patch this game with newest 1.0.3 update to low firmware then running it on sx os

Hi everyone,
I've finally made a graphic mod. This is the first version, I can increase some features if you want. Here is my ModNote :

Grass tallness increased
Grass quality increased (can be increased)
Orange saturation removed -> more vibrant colors
Résolution from 1024x576 to 1280x720
Texture quality High
Visibilité range increased from 0.6 to 1.0 (can be increased)
Shadow treatment High
Spot shadow map size increased from 512 to 1024
Ambiant Occlusion Added
Anti Aliasing changed (slightly downed to avoid FPS drops)

Let me know if you want some changes.

Mod for 1.0.5 version, install into atmosphere/contents/
