The supercard Dstwo is a flashcart for the DS series (hopefully for the 3Ds). Some specs of the flashcart include:

RealTime Functions

Multi Saves/Load

Ability to use any micro sdcard

Multiple language functions

Built in GBA/SNES emulator

Action Slow Motion

File Management System

ebook (ireader) that supports BMP, JPEG, JPG, PNG, TIF, GIF, TXT, PDF

In addition to a normal flashcart, the supercard offers an option that mimics the plugin menu that mimics the Dsi series plugin.

I Slayer[DX] made this guide for a fan purpose. This guide is just to try people who do not understand much about flashcart. In this guide I try to list the simplest way to install their with the highest probability of success. I make this to help people to start on their awesome supercard.

II. Installation

Required things

Purchase a supercard
....I recommend ShopTemp.net (not because I'm on gbatemp, but because it really is a reputible shop. an once of prevention is worth a pound of cure)

Have a way to connect the microsd card to the computer
....Using the provided microsd adapter from the supercard box (I found this one was pretty low quality)
....Your own microsd adapter (Very recommended to use this option)
....Using a sd card adapter and plugging it into your computer (often comes with purchasing the microsd)

MicroSd card (up to 32gb)

Have internet to your computer

Read the instructions

Have a DS (phat/lite/dsi/dsixl)

Now that you have everything ready. There are 2 main things you want to do with your SD card

Format

"OS" installation

IIa. Format

In this section we are goning to format our card. Why do we want to format our card? It fixes up all the big problems that exist. Most of the problems that exist are due to lack of formatting. This step is optional but very very very highly recommended. There are 3 ways to do this. Pick from any or even your own if you want.

Using Panasonic SD card formatter (Windows only)

download the file from the following url

Panasonic SD formatter (my version I used)

Panasonic SD formatter (official website)

If any of the mediafire files do not download right away I recommend just restarting the page and try to download it again.

Run the .exe to install the panasonic formatter

Connect the Sd card to your computer

Run the panasonic formatter

Format your Sd card

Window's formatter

Connect the SD card to your computer. (you can use either of the 3 options lists in the required items, or your own personal way)

Right click the drive that it is in

Select format

Pick a slow format option so that it gets rid of all the bugs

Mac's formatter

Connect the SD card to your computer

Right click the drive as it appears on your desktop

Select format

Alright Now that you have it fully formatted lets move to the actual installation

IIb. "OS" installation

Installing the "OS"

open a browser and click on the following link posted in the next step

Installation files

If any of the mediafire files do not download right away I recommend just restarting the page and try to download it again.

Download the file

Unzip the folder "Place stuff inside me on the Root of the SD!"

Open the folder("Place stuff inside me on the Root of the SD!"), and select Everything and place it into the root of the SD card (files should include "_dstwo" "_dstwoplug" that you are copying over)
....Root just means the flesh of the microsd card. This would be if you just open the K:\ and copying the files directly in. No need to make new folders (and please don't)

You just have successfully installed the files onto your microsdcard

Safely remove the microsd card (PLEASE DO THIS)

Insert the micro sd card into your Supercard (supercard is spring loaded)

Stick the supercard into your DS

Boom the supercard should work

To figure out how to put roms and stuff onto your supercard go to the Section III of this guide

Supercard not loading for the Dsi series? Follow these steps

Find a DSLite or DS

Complete the installation guide I have listed above

Insert the supercard into a Ds "Phat"/Ds lite

Turn on the power 1 or 2 second and turn off, this problem fix.

Q. What files did I just install?
A. You just installed everything that the supercard promised to do on this flashcart, and 2 other things listed below.

OS v1.09

usrcheat.dat vfeb26.2011

gba emu

snes emu

ireader

iplayer

moonshell

usrcheat upgrader (Not official supercard software but recommended)

ds2tools (Not official supercard software but recommended)

III. File placement

Alright you probbaly got some Roms/music/videos. Let's place them in the right place.

In this section, I will tell you where to put your roms/files/stuff. This is only suggestions, and you can pretty much place them anywhere (except the _dstwo folder). The following subpoints just tell you where to put them for the highest chance of successfulness.

Ds games
I recommend you make a folder on the root of the SD card called like "NDS roms" and make sub folders for each of your games. This is due to the fact the supercard can only display around 250 roms. By splitting the games into different folders, it helps you load your roms faster at reboot. Also it is nice because they are organized. Typically I organize my games by their categories. below is an example

Root
....ds2video
....NDS Games
.......Final Fantasy
..........Final fantasy I.nds
..........Final Fantasy II.nds
.......Golden Sun
..........Golden Sun.nds
.......Chrono Trigger
...._dstwo
...._dstwoplug
....etc....

Remember though you can place your .nds back up anywhere.

Snes games
put the snes games in the following

open your sd card

go to "NDSSFC" folder

open "gamepak"

place SNES games inside

Remember you can place your SNES back up anywhere.

GBA games

open your sd card

go to "NDSGBA" folder

open "gamepak"

place .gba games inside

Remember you can place your GBA back up anywhere.

Plugins

place downloaded plugins into your "_dstwoplug" folder

make sure there are these 3 files (must have all 3)
.....ini file
.....bmp file
.....nds file

You must place plugins here for it to work.

Videos/Edocuments

typically I just place these in the root of the sd card

Remember you can place these pretty much anywhere.

After you placed all your stuff start up your supercard, and you are ready to roll <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yaynds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yaynds:" border="0" alt="yaynds.gif" /> (remember to safely remove...)

IV. FAQS

Q. What is the point of this FAQ?
A. I am obsessed with skins and making the supercard look cool. I primarly will answer all the questions about skins/pluginskins/loading screen. Those questions. For other FAQ's consult Deltaburnt's FAQS

Q. How do I install DS_Game skins?
A. After you download the skin put the folder into _dstwo>>>ui.(make sure the folder you download directly has the picture files)
A2. You can also rename your skins by changing how it is displayed in the ui folder (example change folder "pink" to "gray" your supercard will now display the title as "gray"

Q. How do I use installed skins?
A. Run Ds_GAme on your supercard. Then press start. Go to Skin. Then select the skin you want

Q.How do I change the loading screen? (will post a program to help you guys out for any v1.xx)
A. Alright this is a little bit of a process, but well worth it. In order to edit our loading screen it's a little bit different than the normal techniques. We actually will have to edit our DSGAME.nds

Connect the SD card to the computer

Download this file

DStwo Loading Screen Editor

extract the files from the .zip

run "DS Skin Maker.exe"

Select DSTwo (7th option from the top)

Select "tools" from the toolbar

Select modify loading screen

Locate your Microsdcard slot (and open it)

Open the folder "_dstwo"

Load the "DSGAME.nds"

There should be a picture of your current loading screen

select load

pick the image that you want to change the picture with (has to be 256x192 dimensions I believe. But this may not be true) (and I think it has to be .bmp but again I'm not really sure)

click apply

you can create a back up if you want, it's up to you. I recommend it. The back up will be save in the _dstwo folder

Exit out, put the SD card into your Supercard, and see if it works!

Q.How do I change the plugin screen?
A. Copy the plug folder you downloaded and place it into _dstwo
A2. Also know you can get the Imenu

Q.Is there an easy way to change the plugin screen like the DS_game skin?
A. Not that I know of. I manually change it each time

Q. How to use skin up?
A. Please go to the link Supercard Tools

Q. What about my Ezflash 3-in-1?
A. As of v1.07 OS (i believe) the supercard will auto recognize the ezflash 3in1. You can set the rumble by going to DS_game>>>start>>>system settings>>>gba extend>>> rumble
A2. Browser will also recognize it automatically I believe

Q. What is up with all your "*"?
A. It is my way of bullet pointing. Makes reading faster imho.

Thanks for the post, I took most of the biased information. I was just really tired last night, and stuck up with people on supercard forum. Also most of the posts, where I tell people to stick things, is just for their simplicity. This is just to get them rolling with their new supercard. This does not mean they have to stick things where I tell them to.

As for the coloring, I'm working on it. I typed this up on a word document without consulting the format of the board. That is because I'm trying to maintain both the gbatemp forum and the supercard forum. Any ideas other than just saying "it sucks" would be so much more helpful.
