Dual OS setup with Windows 7 and 10

People are trying to help you but you are not listening to anyone, every single to go about it has already been posted, choose one and do it. Ain't nobody gonna make it easier for you.

I have been listening. deleting files on two 1 TB hard drives won't give me 2 TB on a single drive. I can't clone the drive, I don't have the space on any of the drives. I was unemployed and barely started working again, so right now, I can't get a third HDD. You need to listen what I'm saying about my situation right now and why I can't do cloning or ghosting.

Two HDDs, 1 TB each, no way to clone from one drive to another. At all. No money to get new HDD. How is this "not listening"? The only viable solution is update to 10, get the key, downgrade back to 7, install 10 on second HDD, but I can't if I need to burn the ISO image.

Lol, you wouldn't lose anything. You basically proceed normally with your current OS, and Just install another windows 7 installation in another drive.
Remove WAT is a crack program that removes activation and key from the OS, so you don't have to use a licence, just get the os.

That doesn't help me though, as despite being a legit copy of Windows 7, the Windows Recovery Site won't let me get an ISO image from Microsoft, it doesn't recognize my key for some reason, but it is a verified copy.

Get a x64 Ultimate .iso from the internet, burn it in a dvd, use it like a normal windows 7 disc. then, try your activation key. If it doesn't work, use removeWAT.

So, you install the other windows 7 in the second drive. You will be in a dual boot with two windows 7 ( like I am, lol my laptop busted yesterday), keep it here with whatever files you want.
Back in the main installation (the geniune windows 7), upgrade to windows 10 for free. You will then be in another dual boot mode: Windows 10 and Windows 7 (the copy).

Is that simple enough?

2) Clone your Win7 now, then upgrade to Win10, and reinstate the clone Win7 on another partition.

Really, dude? Really? Why do you assume that I have this on my hard drive, and even if I did, it's none of your sodding business. But I digress.

The first solution is really the only viable option at this point. That, or I just forget about it since there's nothing really compelling to update, unless I know for a fact everything will work 100% as well as it does now. I think I'll have this thread closed now, I've only made a fool out of myself, yet again

There are plenty of them. just get your way to a direct link, and you are done.

Since 7 (I think that's the earliest), Microsoft has offered the ability to download unactivated clean Windows ISOs so that you can easily repair if you need to.

Well that's a shame. I found all the unactivated ISOs on another legitimate site before, posted for backup and repair purposes. I may see if I can find it again. Good site. I was able to direct download at my full school speed of around 5MB/s and everything.

That was the same site I linked, but links are down since a year because microsoft changed their site lol.
There are plenty of torrents for unactivated isos from that site.

It's not the ISO that are illegal, it's the actual product key, that's what people actually pay for, so the legality of ISO images is shady at best, but by no means illegal. I used to be able to get them through my school, but since Microsoft went full dumbass and shut down Digital River, I will have to resort to shadier methods to getting a clean ISO image. Stingy bastards they are, closing down a good FTP -_-

I don't see what good it will do me anyway since I don't have a blank DVD to burn it on, or the fact I'm still on the fence about updating to a new OS.

What I don't get is how I have a legit copy, activated without a hitch with a legit key when said key doesn't even work with that damned website. It's not like it's an OEM copy or pirated.
