Ok right now im using vista n i dont like it for gaming at all. so want to make a dual boot system on my vista desktop. i got 2 hard drives one with all my vista stuff on it n one completely clear i just wanted to know how i would set this up so i could have vista and Xp running. If you know any sites with guides that would help.

Easy.
First make two partitions of your drive.
Then first install XP on one partition.
And then install Vista on the other partition.
Then you are finished

iv already got vista installed i just want to install xp on the other...also how do i partion my other harddrive? YES I AM A NooB on the software side of things

No can do. You have to first install the earliest operating system or else it won't recognise the dual boot.

So to have a dual boot, XP & Vista, you'll have to install XP, then install Vista.

That's just crazy. You can use VistaBootPRO to configure a dual boot if you had Vista installed before an XP install. I would recommend installing XP on a separate drive with the Vista drive disabled because the drive letter will change.
