You can't use Gateway as a Cubic Ninja. Unless you are just looking to play the game.

I have Gateway 3ds and I'm happy.
for ds games you can play them and just reinstall the mset which is just a few buttons.

I bought a used dsi for a very cheap price and my cousin just gave me an old ds flashcart, so I won't have to bother with the mset getting uninstalled each time I play ds games. Plus I don't like the resolution of ds games in my 3ds xl, ds games looked a bit pixelated and having a separate dsi is better for me. I can play gba games through rxtools on my sysnand.
I have homebrew by installing a cia of cubic ninja on my emunand.

I wouldn't get dstwo+ because of the risk of bricking my 3ds. It has happened, there was a warning, they don't kid with that kind of thing. If you want dstwo+ just don't go crying when it bricked your 3ds XD

Yes. People always forget about using NEW 3DS is not the same as using Old 3DS. We, New 3DS users need an extra step to access gateway. We need Cubic Ninja.

If you can get a cheap copy of Cubic Ninja (like original price), you are lucky, if not, the Sky3DS costs slightly more, and you have more benefits than a single Cubic Ninja game (you can use it as Cubic Ninja as well, you can use it on another system which is up to date, you can lend it to your relatives and they can use it as a full featured flash card, not just a game).

I own both sky3ds and GW3DS. Sky is complete crap compared gateway.

* which mean still no independent free reg, homebrew, and romhacks
and retail cart emulation only (n3ds has two "exclusive" so far and skies are stucked with only 1)

9.3 has a better flashcart solution now. gw is still miles better and cheaper anyway (if you have <9.3 system, and somehow want a flashcart).

Look guys! If gateway never existed we would never have a 3ds exploit whether a cfw or a ganecard.
I really hate the gateway clones! This is a shi* for me.
Only gateway and sky3ds + are real an best cards.

On an N3DS, the DSTwo+ is probably better, because I hear all the GW 3.5 Launcher really adds is support for 10.3.0-28 for their rom selector and cheat support.
The 3.4.1 Launcher and the 1.03 GW Emulation plugin for DSTwo+ is said to not contain the brick code yet, so on a N3DS, you'd be able to stay on 3.4.1 and because you are limited to 9.5 emunand anyway, rom selection should work fine, just no cheats, but no brick code in the launcher (supposedly), so it -should- be safe to use.

And then the card also supports DS roms and decent GBA/SNES emulators, but on a N3DS you can already get fullspeed GBA and SNES emulation with 3DS homebrew especially when on <9.2 with kernel access.
I guess it's mainly the convenience of both 3DS and DS on one cart without having to switch.

Scds2 as a company was out way longer then gateway. The only reason I even trusted gateway to begin with is because superCard took so long to launch their card. And I'm a little disappointed that supercard can't stand on they own 2 feet with their only launcher.

I will admit that I preordered the new card. Mainly for the two new buttons, I want the whole set of the 3 cards for a collection, and not needing that stupid disk writer. But you still need *hax to use homebrew. The card will not support homebrew itself.

All of gateways launchers contain a brick code because of previous clones. It's just not as accurate with detecting the dstwo+ because it emulates gw mode. Well, in 3.41> that is.

Yes it's real. It's plastered all over most flash cart sites and on the official sky3ds website. The place I preordered from is getting their shipment in between today and the 20th since the manufacture is based in China. I plan on doing a small review once I get it and have time to mess around with it.

Correct. In fact, I'm fooling around with the cartridge right now and the review will go live tomorrow or the day after, I just want to test out-of-region ROMs via RegionTHREE/FOUR.

Im not sure which card to buy, but right now im mostly leaning towards DSTWO+ seeing how its cheapers, only 1 card, has more features and a lot more plugins made by its users

I honestly would go with the Sky3ds. I just made the mistake of ordering a DSTWO+ and discovering that one, it only supports firmware <9.2, and also can brick your device.

The new Sky3DS+ which is on there website is literally a "drag a Rom on to an SD card" and putting the card in your machine . It is so simple, so easy, and supports Firmware >9.2.

The instant that sky3ds has native Emunand is when it takes the lead. But I'm good with my CFW rxTools. I really only used my gateway for testing my rom Hacks. So I traded up both my gateway and my ds2 for a ds2+ no more switching.
