The CFW used by the DSTWO+ for 3DS games was based on an outdated ReiNAND and hasn’t been updated in years. There’s no reason to recommend the cart for 3DS games because the software does that feature is outdated. I did still recommend it for DS games, it’s still the most powerful DS flashcart on the market. I don’t see how anything I said was wrong or outdated

They can also run gateway mode, though you may want an ntrboot card and a nand backup handy....

IIRC, the Gateway Mode was just a hacked version of the Gateway CFW, unless they were running a hacked method into the legitimate CFW. I kind of avoided any of carts using the Gateway CFW due to the brick code

Iirc they used the dstwo CPU to emulate parts of the gateway card, there was a plugin you had to use, and you needed a dat Iirc

Still have not encountered a brick on my 3ds

The moral of the story, just use Luma3DS and the DSTWO+ for DS games

moral of the story, they both do the same thing
I am a bit confused by this comment, I am not gonna lie. Are you are suggesting the Gateway/I legit forgot the name of ReiNAND clone CFW DSTWO+ used, do the same as Luma3DS and DSTWO+? This is technically true, just Luma3DS is up to date and working with all the latest everything. The other CFWs will work, they just aren't up to date and really not recommended.

Gateway and luma3ds, both do the same, the cheat system with gateway is better, plus it's neater using gateway and luma (dual boot), don't have a plethora of icons to go through

Ok, I guess that's an option. I wouldn't recommend it but I would say that it's definitely an option someone can take.
