This has to be the coolest thing I've seen in awhile!

Props to the devs for enabling changing code in real-time! This is definitely a bigger feat than it looks.

Reminds me of the later-model Gameshark days for the PSX/N64 which had basically this exact same ability. Good old days...

doyama,
why do i want a ram dump? it might not be practical for most of the users
but it could be handy for us to make pointer/ASM codes
some game just refuse to work on emulators

i think all hackers love hex view
thats how i get many things done without conducting the actual search

9th_Sage,
Yeah.. just a little more

Yay. They've taken Datel's Trainer Toolkit and removed the need for a PC to find codes. It's all in the hardware now.

I didn't realize some games did not work with current emulation tools. In that scenario then dumping the memory would be valuable.

Thinking now, I don't really recall how much memory the NDS actually has. I had somewhat incorrectly thought it was going to dump whatever the ROM size was into memory, but that doesn't makes sense when I really think about it. Thus the whole 'utility' aspect of waiting for 256MB to write to the SD card 'hopefully' at some kind of speed that isn't slower than gnomes moving the bits around manually, probably doesn't come into play.

As far as I know, the DS has 4 MB of ram.

Awesome! cheat engine on the ds. Some emulators also have this built in. If they also add something like cheat engine's auto assembler and finding the code that writes to the variable, this will be at the top of my shopping list

So annoying, I searched Google and Youtube for a video on GBA emulation for Supercard DSTWO, it's the only reason I'm getting this, so if GBA emu sucks then I'm not buying.

Or am I?

im as good as "Helder" in cheat.gbatemp!

but will the free cheat mode allow us to make code while connected to wifi?

it looked confusing to me, why dont those cheats have names to them instead of numbersAny codes using names and button input sequences and shit within the game are codes built-in by the programmers. This stuff, as well as cheats you can use on a flash cart, are not built-in. It's actual hacking. That's why it's such a big difference, that's why things aren't conveniently named for your viewing pleasure, and that's why it looks confusing.

Looks nice. I regret not preordering this when it was so cheap on Shoptemp

Still, its current price doesn't look too bad either if it can do everything they say it does.Yeah.

And now n00bs will be able to create infinite health and ammo codes for online play
If simply locking a value on one client's end affects everybody else as well, then that's not a very well programmed game. Though that does bring up a good point, with this we should be able to get data from online play, whereas emulators can't get online right now...

Like I said, if the code actually affects anything on a client other than yours then the game's not programmed that well, but the team may disable it when wi-fi's active just in case.

I wonder if it's safe to say that this will blow the CycloDS out of the water (price and feature wise). This feature seems extremely useful for games that are newly released and have no available codes... I wonder if you can convert them into AR codes (probably not)?

BTW, regarding the hex dump feature, I'm pretty sure they will have implemented a feature like that or plan on doing so, it's pretty much a must if they also want to cater for developers. Eventually I think we'll see them add more features once the cart get's going, dnd with the extra CPU and memory I think that we'll be seeing many new *amazing* homebrew apps.

im getting one for free to review for my site thanks to our sponsor kick ^^ my 3 videos were in that video by the way when the video finishes it shows a scroll of videos related mine are the ones with the acekard and ds ull see lol
