The cheat brewing functionality is really simple elixirdream. I think it's supposed to be like that. If there was loads of unknown features, no casual gamer would know wtf to do.

I remember that device from Romantic Robot, for the old & lovely Sinclair Spectrum 128.

"Poking" on the Spectrum was always fun. Jet Set Willy had loads of codes. Aaah happy days. IIRC, I used a magic button device called the 007 interface.

VERY nice.

Shame about the keyboard layout though, anything other than QWERTY screws my head up.

That video settles it, im getting A SCDS2. An advanced mode for free cheat would be nice tho, for those more experienced.

AGREE!!!!!!!!

The Supercard guys are teasing us. The could have made the video a few minutes longer and showed emulation in action.

Lawl, for a realtime hacking feature it isn't that awful especially since it's being done as the game is running (hear those sfxs as they input stuff.)
But for those like elixirdream and others who hacks the sh*t out of games it is more of a plaything and useful for simple things

from the looks of it,it can search equal, non equal, addition, decrease (just decent which is nothing big deal)

didn't see any function to do ram dump, pretty disappointed !
hex view? without hex view or real time edit via memory editor = useless! (hopefully, this will be added)

search results? can they display all search result? all just a fixed number of it?
the art of code hacking is not the final search result!
its getting things done in the shitty environment

some might argue its good for casual user? well it could be true yet what you find might be useless
try make a HP code for pkmn during battle and you will know what i mean

by the looks of it... its only a feature for those casual users

one interesting point would be how well this works with RTS

summary: not impressed

EDIT: by the way, where is the FUZZY mode?

I agree that it's fascinating to a certain degree.

I wonder if a memory dump to the SD card would be even practical? Wouldn't such a task take a long time?

There is a field in the video "Data Size" which might allow for hex editing? It's a bit too blurry to see what it says. But perhaps by changing this field, you can edit directly in hex. I think in Japan this feature will be pretty popular if you can do it in hex. They love just hacking roms directly in hex, rather than using cheat codes for some reason especially from reading their AP boards.

For most users, the most interesting part is the ability to enable/disable cheats while playing the game. I don't think this kind of feature is available on any current carts (though I could be wrong).

The Free Cheat mode apparently is separate from the "Cheat Code" section. So you can still apparently use regular cheat code dat/xml/etc files, then use Free Cheat to I guess hack games where a specific code hasn't been released yet if you're so inclined. It might allow hackers to find codes while 'on the go' so to speak. But I doubt it will replace their current workflows entirely.

it looked confusing to me, why dont those cheats have names to them instead of numbers

do you know anything about hexidecimal? do you know how to create these cheat codes e.t.c.?

if your answer is no then this is why you don't understand it

on another note a question for the people that are being connected by the Supercard Team with most of the information regarding the DStwo:-

do you think or can you find out whether they will be announcing the release date of the Supercard DStwo soon? and if so how soon?

thanks in advance

Looks nice. I regret not preordering this when it was so cheap on Shoptemp

Still, its current price doesn't look too bad either if it can do everything they say it does.

It won't. Until the DSTWO has all the things we have at the moment, they (cheat hackers) will still keep using the normal computer tools.
However, for simple cheats, Free Cheat is perfect!

Looks pretty good. They could always add in extra search modes in future updates.
I hope they will. Otherwise, it's sort of worthless, as all of this is possible with software too.

I'm glad to have a feature like this. I do hope they add in more advanced features in the future (or already have...who knows when the video was taken?). Just a bit more (like memory dumping and hex editing of the RAM) and I could say that it entirely replaces my crappy DS Action Replay Trainer dongle that barely works because the soldering on it is terrible.
