ive had the freezing problem, but i fixed it by putting games and saves in a seperate folder, if that doesnt work, try formatting to fat16, if that dont work, try "bending" your cart a bit at the end where the yellow contact things are, bend them from side to side, not from top to bottom, but dont break it....

seems like those who put their games in a separate folder do not have the freezing problem.....something to take note of.

Exactly two people in this thread have a freezing problem. One of them is a troll, the other one has exactly one post, but claims to have bought "loads of these cards".

Makes me suspicious...

I don't have freezing.

placed them all in root no freezing
placed them all in a folder nds, no freezing
placed them all in a folder games, no freezing

Don't see a problem, those 2 prolly mest stuff up

1 out of 100 people complained about the games not loading, the solution was to put YSMENU on the card instead of the official dstt menu. Then it worked fine. And this problem only occured when almost all of the 2gb card was filled. the same card worked fine in the r4ds, so it was not a problem of the microsd card but from the dstt menu.

about version 1.08 i dunno yet not tried yet. but on version 1.06 and 1.07 i also did got some freezing problem. The weird thing is when you got a freeze. You cann't start that game at all no matter what settings you got. But its sometimes strangely to solve by trying to boot a other game either with changesing first some settings or not. Most times when you succeed to boot a other game. Turn of power and change setting if needed of the rom that freezed you many times then can start that rom also again.

It like the firmware somewhere has some save setting and keeps things locked. And when something there is wrong roms that did work before suddenly also don't work until you booted a rom that still worked fine wich after that all roms again works.

Dunno whats causing it but there is some freezing problem but with some effort putting it it is at least still manageable and hopng they fixed it. Also dunno if its usefull but when you start the ds you might want to wait a few seconds to let it load the romlist.

nah its true it just happened to me on v1.08

sorry for the double post but "I bit the bullet" (aussie slang) and just put all me romies in one folder named games (no re-format) and it works a treat!! I gotta feeling the reader doesn't do the job as it's spose to...

The ones i got to work are still going strong
after reformating and putting the game save's back on

But why should we have to mess about like this over and over again?

When i can get an r4 and it works the first time every time
using the same roms /same computer/ same micro sd cards/same usb adapter/

the odd time i got a dstt working without reformating first time
but when i got sd card what would freeze
it would freeze in all of my dstt's
they seem to be fussy with the odd memory card
and its not brand as i tryed 4 diferent brands also 2gb and 1 gb

my advise is if you can get an r4 get one as they work first time

Since using OS's YSmenu and the Official 1.08 it now works fine now, but the official 1.08 on its own still crashes on my NDSTT

Fantastic stuff, great to see they're still working on it. I think we'll skip this one though unless we run into a title that needs the info update; the TT's being used in a phat so brightness isn't an issue, don't use cheats and as 1.07's working fine over here seems a shame to mess with it

my dstt was working fine for like 3 weeks after i first got it, than it suddenly stopped loading games, the menu would work fine and everything, but when i went to load a rom, the loading square took one circle, and the whole thing froze, but putting the roms in a seperate folder seemed to fix everything and i havent had a problem for the 3 days since ive fixed it...

I wonder if the menu system has a limit to the number of files that can be in a folder. Perhaps the OS creating new .sav files causes it to exceed this limit if you put everything in the root, and that's what's causing the freezing.

ETA: Didn't I read somewhere that FAT16 has a limit to the number of files in a single folder? Is it possible that yours was FAT16 and that you exceeded the number of files in the root?
