* Install
Change [YSMENU]LITERALS in YSMenu.ini if you use in English. (erase semi-colon)
Run ttextract.exe with OFFICIAL TTMENU.DAT.
ttdldi.dat and ttpatch.dat will be extracted.
Copy ttdldi.dat, ttpatch.dat and YSMenu.ini to TTMenu directory in microSD.
Copy my custom TTMENU.DAT instead of official TTMENU.DAT

Sweet. New .ini file language support now means we get the very latest version from the get go.

Installation is easy. Simply edit the .ini file and you are good to go.

CODE
; Section Name of Literals
;LITERALS=LITERALS_JPN
LITERALS=LITERALS_ENG

According to the documentation, the newest version of YSMenu supports the Ewin expansion, but it doesn't work correctly for me. It tries to patch and run a GBA but it crashes after the opening screen. If I use the GBA Loader it works. Opera still doesn't work unless I use the GBA Loader.

reiyu,

You can change the font colors in the .ini file. But the colors are in a strange format (15 bits = 5 bits blue, 5 bits green, 5 bits red).

It would also be nice if it better supported the Ewin 2in1. None of my GBA games get past the "GameBoy" screen unless I use the GBA Loader.

It will also need to support download play in order to entirely replace TTMenu.

The newest version seems to. Run ttextract.exe on the 1.08 TTMENU.DAT and use the resulting ttdldi.dat and ttpatch.dat with the newest version of YSMenu.

Multi-cartridge wifi? Yes, so far with everything I've tried - including Mario Kart.

Download play? No, at least not with any of the stuff I've tried.

If you *really* need Download Play for a particular title, you could always start up ttmenu manually and launch the game from that.

Quick question: what exactly are YSMenu's extra features? I'm not having lag or organizational difficulties with the default OS, so I'm wondering whether I even want to bother.

You can organize your roms into folders.
You can run the NDS Browser without first running the GBA Loader.
You can run GBA games without first running the GBA Loader.
It will directly run other types of games in emulators if you have the emulators installed.
You can set the rumble level for each game.
You can backup/restore save files.
You can delete files from the menu.

*nods*

Okay, nothing I need to worry about, then. I'm not running any emulators (I have a PSP for that), and don't have rumble or GBA paks. And I'll do file management on my PC, when I need to.

This is interesting that you haven't been able to get Download Play working with YSMenu, I haven't had any problems with any of the games that I have tried with download play.
