The DS lite of my GF is kind of broken

first the speakers didnt work when she pulled out the headphones plug, but after a few times of replugging the headphones plug it worked again
but now it doesnt work at all anymore
the sound through headphones is still fine

its the connector of the headphones broken and it fails to switch back to the regular speakers or the speakers themself?
what do you think?

I guess so. Send it to Nintendo if your warranty is still covered.

If not, just repair it at any shop, or:

Try this.

Get a really thin needle and poke it in the headphone slot, try checking if anything is stuck in there and remove it. If not well, ya repair it.

doesnt work with the needle

i opened the ds, the name of the part is P8 but i didnt found any replacement part on the net D;

it would help if someone got a diagram of that area or at least what the pins of P8 do, maybe there is a way to put a bridge on that part so only the speakers work

oh well

Really, I'd just stick to headphones. It's much better quality than the speakers in the end, and you can buy a cheap pair of earbuds for like $5. It sounds like the speakers just kinda went on the fritz when the sound went from the headphone jack to the speakers. Well, that's my bullshit assumption.

you seem to be right, Guild McCommunist

i took the lower part of my ds and connected it to the upper part from my gf and sound did not work
now i go and connect my lower part to my gfs lower part lol

whatever, thanks for the help
