Can it be repaired?

Thanks in advance, Tijntje_7

Have you tried cleaning it out yet? I have never heard of replacing a mic. You may need to send it to nintendo.

Mine's broken too

I was stupid, and stuck a needle into my mic, now it doesn't work.
But I don't feel like fixing it because my DS lite's hinge is broken.

i'll try that, i hope i don't have to send it to nintendo, i heard they have terrible prices ($50+)
and i also heard it is possible to replace the mic with a headset (or something look alike)
is this possible?

they fix my ds 4 free cause of a 1 year warranty
and i sent it back (because of broken L and R buttons)
about 10 months after and they give me a new ds for FREE!
i called the # on the box...

either that or check if your console is still under NINTy warranty of course you can always buy another mic[http://cgi.ebay.com/MIC-MICROPHONE-REPLACEMENT-FOR-NINTENDO-DS-DS-LITE-c_W0QQitemZ150361312566QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item23023b8d36&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14]

look up a tutorial online and do it your-self Dat whats i DiDz

If you buy a headset with a mic then I think you can just use it instead of the mic. So that's a good alternative.

it's not too hard to replace it yourself. i've changed the whole casing of a ds lite myself, and i didn't find it too hard. you'll just have to be very vareful.

try googling for "replacement ds lite mic" or something like that. i'm sure they are for sale somewhere.
