Gaming Dsiware on eshop

I was wondering if you will be able to purchase dsiware on the eshop or if you would have to transfer it from a dsi/xl

eshop to 3DS-->yes
DSi to 3DS-->yes

The account information is transferred from the DSi to the 3DS directly, you must have both systems available to do that.
