I've modified the instructions to reflect this. This was not caught in testing because the USA .app will launch just fine if directly installed to a title on a EUR system, but not if it is System Transferred. Not sure why this is, but I should have EUR and JPN downloads up soon.​

So don't do any System transfers on a EU set first, wait for his files.

Injecting something into the fan app then booting it is nothing. Did you transfer it (injected with a hax game) to a different system and did it boot? Very skeptical about this.

So just for shits and giggles I injected the JPN dsi and did a system transfer. Didn't work, tried to boot in HANS and it brought me to a system transfer screen as if it hadn't finished and it just gave me an error.

I want to do a dsiware downgrade from my old 3ds to my new3ds xl. The problem is that my old 3ds is US and my n3ds is JP.
So, my idea is to change the region of the old 3ds to jp and then downgrade my new3ds xl. After that I change the region back of the o3ds back to us. Is this safe??

The main issue I see is you can't access the JPN eshop to get legit dsi titles if you region change, unless something has changed in the region swapping method since I last followed it.

I thought that you can access the JPN eshop once you region change for an O3DS?

Its a lengthy process but you can achieve eshop on region swapped o3ds / n3ds. The bigger issue is that even with a dsi game it won't transfer as we found out earlier

Incompatible. For slowhax and dsiware transfer. Check plailects revised list.
We have to use Exidia for the EU injected game now. That cut compatibility in half.
