I have a quick question. I have just bought 2 DSi XL's, 1 each for my two kids. Which is the best flashcard to buy? I have 2 old R4DS's and they do not work. I want tp grade them anyway so I might as well buy 2 that I know will work fine. Thanks in advance guys, your help is very much appreciated.

Acekard 2i from shoptemp and you will have to update them on a ds(lite) or sdi fw less than 1.3 or you can pay $1 to shoptemp to come preupdated

SuperCard DSTwo.

With great NDS support and a GBA emulator plus more features to come, it's probably the best out there.

Although, it can be a tad expensive.

Ive still got an ACEKARD RPG aswell but I'll go for the ACEKARD 2i and update them. Are they easy to update?

you can pay $1 to work with dsi FW 1.4 and you only need to copy akaio and ds roms and then play

even their R4DS .sav files should work on the AK2i as long as their names match the roms they're for.

I have a guide here which tell you how to update them http://gbatemp.net/t218103-updated-n00b-gu...up-your-acekard

As long as you have a DS Lite or Phat (which you must as you have a RPG) You may as well update them yourself.

If they are young kids, then may need can lock the start menu. Edit globalsettings.ini and change "LockStartMenu = 0" to "LockStartMenu = 1".

If they are just for your kids, then there's probably not much point in the DSTWO.

but not as expensive as the Cyclo DS

Moot point as the CycloDS doesn't work in DSi's and therefore has no place in this particular discussion.

Acekard 2i or SCDS2 are your best choices for a DSi flashcart.

Well DSONEi is only $9 more expensive and you get alot of additional features. RTS, RTG, RTC and a good auto-patching that actually works for new games, from what I've seen. Also the build quality is great and it has good official support. Well worth the extra $9, if you ask me.

that's what i meant. it's much costly and it isnt dsi compatible

Iedge all the way, their about $20 each which is a good price. They are a cyclods clone, but that isn't a bad thing, there easy to use and are the quickest card as far as I know.

Why would you recommend the Acekard 2i over the DSONEi?

Why would you recommend the DSONEi over the Acekard2i?

Plus, don't you usually recommend the R4?

I guess you missed my post:

But I'm curious why you would recommend an AK2i over it. Less features, worse build quality, poor official support and not that much cheaper anyway.

And next time keep the personal issues personal, PM me if you have something on your mind. No need to derail every thread.

Anyways I would recommend the Acekard because it works wonderful for me, and it gets the job done.

Oh and my last comment wasn't a personal issue, I was just wondering why you decided to start rooting for the DSONEi is all.

Go the Acekard route. The menu system is clean and fast. I own a M3iZero, Cyclo, EZVi and others and have never found my self wanting to use the RTS or RTG feature.
