Anyone else having this issue? I'm trying to make a custom theme and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've compressed my images down to the recommended size and I've shuffled things around but every time I boot the theme up it shows it perfectly for a moment before it glitches and softlocks me out of it. The bottom screen gets these black and white stripes while the top screen goes pitch black. I don't know what to do I've been fiddling with this for 2 days now. I'm a total noob at working with this and home brewing my system so any help would be appreciated.

1. I downloaded Twilight Menu++ skins from website called "skins ds homebrew".
2. I extract the zip file to ./<archieve name/>
3. I follow the instruction from youtube, they said copy the skin to >dsimenu>themes>paste, and when i want to change the themes in twilight menu setting, i click the themes that i installed and press A/B and after that its show nothing (just default theme).

before this happen, old version its just normal which mean its work.. but the new version wont work.

Edit: I use the flashcart version for twilight menu..
Please post a picture of the window displaying the skin contents from the SD card on your PC.

Which custom theme did you install? Please post a link to it.
At first I tried to download this theme ( themeplaza.art item 94487 ) but I'm pretty sure that one didn't work since its made for the 3ds and im using a dsi so I was trying to do a custom with those same images but instead using this theme as a base ( skins.ds-homebrew.com nintendo-dsi/default-dark ) but that didn't work either so I just tried using the dark theme by itself and it still didn't work. ( sorry its not letting me post the exact links for some reason)

Where exactly did you put the themes on the SD card?

Since you downloaded a DSi UI theme, it needs to be in "sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/dsimenu/themes/".
mine says 3ds menu? I tried to put both the dark and my custom theme in there but neither worked so I tried a 3ds theme and that didn’t work either. My user interface in the twlmenu says dsi so i’m not sure why it’s 3ds.

If the "dsimenu" folder doesn't exist, then you need to create it and the "themes" folder inside it, then put the custom theme inside the "themes" folder.
After setting the user interface to "Nintendo DSi" in TWLMenu++ Settings, press A on "Custom Theme", then select the custom theme that's placed in "sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/dsimenu/themes/".

It worked, thanks!! but I’m having another issue, whenever I click select to go to the twli menu it shuts off my ds and won’t turn back on unless I take out and put in the sd card again. But when I take the themes off the sd card it works perfectly fine.

Please record a video of your issue.

I'm also having problems with my skins I've tried everything I could find to "fix" it but nothing is working my skin is showing up on the menu that you get when pressing select but its not working anywhere else

Where are your custom themes located on the SD card?

Hello, I'm having the same problem. I try to download a theme for DSI, extract it, and copy it to the folder E:\_nds\TWiLightMenu\dsimenu\themes, but it still doesn't work. I tried using an extraction method I saw on YouTube that suggested using 7-zip File Manager, and that didn't work either. The same thing happens if I try to download 3DS themes. My Twilight is updated. When trying to use a DSI theme, the background is black, and on the top screen, where the image should be, it shows a bright pink square. When I press and hold the select button, the theme is there, but only there. When using the 3DS theme, it doesn't appear anywhere, neither in the select menu nor in the main menu. I don't know what to do anymore!

Which custom themes have you tried?

While looking everywhere for the answer to my problem (everytime i select a custom theme it sets it to default) i found the answer. A little late to the party, but what worked for me is make sure your theme is in: (F:\_nds\TWiLightMenu\dsimenu\themes\<theme-name>) instead of (F:\_nds\TWiLightMenu\dsimenu\themes\<theme-name>\<Theme-name>) i guess its an issue with unzipping it or something it makes a folder in a folder. I hope this helps you guys even though its been a year or two! And sorry for my terrible english.
