So really all we have contributed to the project is nothing but ideas and false common keys, and we are waiting for some one to find the common key, so then at that point we can finally talk about something else other than people who want to beta test something that isn't even created yet and have no hacking experience whatsoever, along with the smart people's comments on how the project should be done.

Therefore this topic is really pointless at this time because we are not even sure if there can be a DSi Homebrew Channel and we don't even have the DSi Common Key yet. Really people who don't even read the whole topic and say they want to beta test are not patient with reading the whole topic and just conclude that there is a DSi Homebrew Channel when it has been clearly stated that very few people will get there hands on the beta version which half of it supports what shortperson1026 said.

I strongly suggest that we should stop spamming this topic until some real progress has been made, like finding the DSi Common Key.

Sorry if this is dumb or something.
But is there any way I can contribute to find out how to play DS ROMs from SD card? Even though I don't know programing?

EDIT: BTW, I already have a DSi and SD card
In all due respect, Rider, I highly doubt you'd be able to help if you don't have programming experience. Hacking takes a lot of work and knowledge, and if you can't even program than you stand no chance.

Welcome to GBAtemp, by the way.

Well is there a fast yet effective way to learn programming because I want to help with this.

And maybe I could at least be a tester.
The way it looks at the moment, only Loopy's secret testers will be testing.

You won't know coding effectively and well enough if you don't get taught it.
I meant with this project. The "Homebrew Channel" once the foundation is laid out for programmers.

Well who can teach me?

You learn programming in a school, like math.

Either that or you study using books and practice. But since you you have no experience, by the time you are good enough to help, homebrew channel v2.6 (or something) will already be available.

"really pointless at this time " ROFLOLPIMP

What do you mean? "At this time" ... from the beginning you mean?

Anywayz, this is the "towns fool" of the forum, some people like to talk with it and share ideas on it's level, but the rest of the town is just having a laugh.

This should be stickied imo with a 18+ rating because of stumach-aches (due to laughing) it can cause.

Go DSi Homebrew channel topic, with no idea what hacks do or how they're found, and keep those idea coming.

Ideas are great but the forum is already up too 25 pages and some of it is unrelated to the topic while most is about people asking to beta test who have no idea that they can't because they don't take some time and read the whole topic.

Another example is your post, commdante.

*Most* of us here do not know how to hack (myself included

), and all I have under my belt is a highschool java programming course (which is alot more than most people here, but still does not help) I say leave this topic alone for a while and wait for something constructive to come out to speak of, else this topic may get locked or something =/ this topic will go somewhere but it will take some time and maybe another topic or two

loopy really found the common key? Secret beta testers? Where are these people getting their info? A link to it would be more productive than the last 24 pages.

Although Sterl500 is right getting a link to this info is better than just sitting here wondering about "what could have been". So we could talk about where this info came from and if it's true or not.

Oh, and you're post was REALLY helpful.

Thanks for telling us what we knew 24 pages of posts back.

So a DSi Homebrew is still in the works? How do they plan on getting it on the DSi?

can i give my ndsi ware to an anotzher ndsi??
*Facepalm*
If you could do that we wouldn't be dealing with this problem now would we?

I guess that slot on the side that looks like it can fit an SD card where I store my SD card is just a decoration...

really did you have to add to the uselessness?

@ [BNC]Mitchell: yea a linkey would be nice, but I don't see that happening
frown.gif

@ RadioShadow: I would think it would go through the SD card slot.
yaynds.gif
Maybe it would be run via an exploit in the system, followed by installation into system memory (just guessing, and going by wii HBC
happy.gif
) Or by game/ DSi ware exploit

I got an idea, you know when u buy a DSi, u have 1000 point free. You can share the Dsiware that you have downloaded for the DSishop for every one to use before the DSi Homebrew Channel come out. I have tried the DSiware that I download from the DSishop form the DS card and cut it to my PC. Then I delected the DSiware in my DSi and cut the DSiware from my PC to the SD card and it worked.

Nope, not possible due to the fact that your DSi ware still has your console ID on it, and the only reason it still works on your DSi is because it will still run on the console that bought it. Until someone cracks a universal ticket and a makes program to resign the ID it will continue to work only on the console that bought it.

EDIT: Ok i will stop spamming this topic Mitchell
happy.gif
after i finish this edit I will walk away and lurk somewhere else
nyanya.gif

EDIT2: What i said above is Piracy, but really as Mitchell is saying below this post, this topic is not aimed at that. I said that purely on the hypothesis that something like what is going on with the wii may happen to the DSi someday.
frown.gif
It ain't a pretty thing to happen, but it probably will
frown.gif

EDIT3: yes i am still editing at the risk none will see it
nyanya.gif
and i guess we are still spamming this topic

... Wow. You think it would be that easy? Then this topic wouldn't have been this long.
hate2.gif
Also having those 1000 free points is cool but theres really nothing to buy yet. Maybe just 10 channels.
hate2.gif

Although we are basically finding the DSi Common Key for piracy, this topic isn't really aiming at that. We're looking at making a new channel. But I'm pretty sure when the DSi Common Key is discovered others will pirate their channels for illegal downloading.

STOP SPAMMING THIS TOPIC!!!!

wait until the first dsi enhanced game comes out, buy it, dump it, find an exploit in the check script.
